Adam Musgrove
Service That Speaks for Itself
At eighteen, Adam Musgrove made a promise to protect the Constitution. Throughout his 20 years in law enforcement and 25 years of military service, this commitment has remained a core principle. As a retired Navy Senior Chief and former Chief of Patrol, he has spent his career navigating complex challenges and proving that for effective law enforcement, relationships matter.
Leadership Driven by Results
Adam's record is defined by a combination of executive experience and human compassion. When he saw the need for a better way to handle mental health in our community, he co-founded the Chelan County Behavioral Health Unit to make sure people in crisis receive help, not just a jail cell. When he saw families struggling around the holidays, he founded Santa's Stars, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides food and presents to hundreds of families each year. Today, he is leveraging his perspective as a veteran to develop a new outreach program designed to support veterans in crisis.

A Vision for Douglas County
Adam believes that a Sheriff's Office is only as strong as its connection to the people. Everyone brings value to the table. His first priority is to identify the issues that you, as a Douglas County citizen, feel are most important and make those his mission. His "Balanced Accountability" plan is built on three pillars:
- Proactive Safety: Implementing a "zero-tolerance" approach to gangs and drug trafficking to ensure criminals fear committing crimes in our neighborhoods.
- Mental Health: Expanding collaborative mental health and veteran outreach programs to address the root causes of crisis before they escalate.
- Building Relationships: Creating a culture of internal trust and employee ownership within the agency, while strengthening relationships with community members, business owners, and first responder partners.
The Motivation Behind the Mission
Beyond the uniform, Adam's world centers on his family. As the devoted husband to his wife, Tina (TJ), and proud father of their daughters, Malani and Makaila, he views public safety through the lens of a parent. He understands that a Sheriff's primary duty is to keep the streets safe for our children and protect the rights of every citizen. He's dedicated to bringing the same standard of security and integrity to Douglas County that he upholds for his own family.
A Clear Path Forward
Adam Musgrove offers Douglas County a steady hand, a servant's heart, and a fresh vision rooted in integrity. By choosing a leader who has already proven his commitment to this community, we choose a future that is anchored in experience, transparency, and a deep-seated respect for the people.
